Gunjan Saxena : The Kargil Girl is set to released on 12th August on Netflix. The movie is based on the life of the Gunjan Saxena who was India's first female air force pilot. Gunjan played a key role in India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999. She is truly an inspiration for all of us, especially women who despite being ridiculed by the society for choosing such professions, touches and paint the sky with their own colors ...

The film's cast comprises of Janhvi Kapoor as Gunjan Saxena,  Pankaj Tripathi as her father. It also has actors like Angad bedi who will play her brother's role. Ayesha Raza as her mother, Vineet Kumar Singh and Manas Vij.

The trailer begins with a young girl talking to her father about her ambitions of becoming a pilot. Her father supports her ambition and starts her training, irrespective of the advice given by her mother, brother and of course Society. She faces a lot of discrimination in air force, as before her there were no females in the air force. Many of her seniors tell her that she is weak and that there is no place for weak people in defense services. However, she proves herself when she was sent in the 1999 Kargil war. Gunjan Saxena along with Flight Lieutenant Srividya Rajan rescued soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999 and was honoured with the Shaurya Vir award for displaying courage and grit during the war.

The trailer did looked promising, however there were certain scenes, where Janhvi's expression lacked the fire, still she acted way better than what she did in Dhadak. The film is jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios.

Actor Akshay Kumar was the one of the first actors who shared the trailer, he wrote : “Harr sapne ki udaan aise hi ho!
